Yes try as I might I have problems producing consistent rivet detail and archer is out for me, just cant seem to get it right in polystyrene or lacquer soaked Bristol board

I'm looking to try the Archer products myself. Otherwise it's back to the drilling & inserting Grandt line rivets, 
Scale Hardware http://www.scalehardware.com/ is another option on rivets, bolts, nuts, etc., but, it has to be a very special project to justify the cost and PITA factor IMO. I've seen some very nice O scale steam engines taken over the top by drilling out the cast on detail and replacing it with the real McCoy. Now that takes patient.
