Reminds of when my family was still doing civil war re-enacting. Dad had a 6-pounder field gun and one of the other men who also had one had a Florida license plate that said, "6 PDR".

I always wondered what people thought that meant when he was just going down the street without the cannon on the trailer behind it.

handyandy - if anyone ever offers a t-shirt with the Marx logo and the word

"MARXIST" under it, I'm in. Especially if the shirt is red. Cuban-made, maybe?

 

I'm a closet train-Marxist, myself; sort of a fellow-tinplate-traveler...

 

If you're not familiar with the Cold War, never mind; I'm old.

I didn't even think of the Dr Who reference, and I've been a fan of that show for most of my life.

As for a woman driving a car with that plate, it could still be a Dr Who fan as a lot of women are into the current version of the show (but not so much the much lower-budget version which ended in 1989).
