I emailed them and asked if they might send me a new CAB 2 that works and I'll send this one back to them. No answer yet. I don't want to let go of the new Base because it works perfectly and I already have a Base at Lionel service. When you have anything wrong with a 990 they insist on getting the Base and the CAB. I understand where they are coming from, but in this case, I know it's just the CAB...anyone would. So I thought I would ask the dealer (big dealer in MA) if they would help me before I went through the hassle of not wanting to send the Base. Already been through that with a CAB that had no feedback and my other CAB did have feedback with the Base. They finally convinced me to send the Base that time for a charging upgrade. Got me there!
