"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

What a neat video - Thanks!

That brings back memories of when I first bought some HO and set up on our ping pong table using my dad's old wool Navy  blanket. They were so 'cute' but I think mine was Revell wit rubber band drive.

Those Santa Fe Alcos were awful with no windshields and black trucks - NO respectful Warbonnett should have black trucks in a model!

By the late 1950's Lionel came to realize that the train market was falling off.  Things to come included HO trains, race car sets, science /Chemistry sets, and the pseudo space age trains. The changes were not successful and after 1957 Lionel lost money for the next 12 years until General Mills took over. At that time the collector market was starting so the timing was right for a renaissance to begin.  I would venture to say that Lionel HO trains were produced in small numbers.
