Interesting....my PS3s rarely repeat commands. The PS2s however never shut the @&#$ up!

I have been trying for a long time to ascertain the possible causes.  For years it only happened in one block, and then of a sudden it spread.  To me, this means something changed, but I can't figure what.  BB suggests I try getting a Rev L, but I hate to spend train funds that can better be spent elsewhere.  I have to try various combinations of settings.

It's odd that only the whistle softkey sounds do this; I haven't noticed it with any other softkeys.

Before anyone says, I do not have two feeds to any block and there are bulbs on TIU outputs and elsewhere.

RJR,

The Rev L 4.10 TIU mismatch with my Rev .l hand held remote control 3.10 makes the 263E whistle double.  The matched Rev L with the 4.10 does not make it double what so ever.  The 3.10 hand held also sets up a run way problem, in the TR mode, every so often,  I am beginning to believe this mismatch problem is greater than I once thought.  I need to get this Rev .l, 3.10 up to GGG for a full upgrade to the latest revision, once the Christmas layout comes down.  After it comes back I will send the Rev L, 4.10 for the same upgrading.  I definitely need to get all this DCS gear upgraded to the latest revisions, so they all match.

Robert,

All my eqpt is the same rev of the DCS software.  I have upgraded my 3 TIUs and 4 remotes and then backgraded them, and then reupgraded them, all with no difference.

That would point to a defective remote key or a layout DCS signal issue.

Now, don't run out and buy a Rev. L TIU, just because there's good chance that it would correct your problem. You just stick with your "tried and true" antique TIUs!

I am quite sure this occurs across all 4 remote.

Don't be critical of antiques.  If it weren't for us, York would be empty.

I may just get one Barry, just to make you happy, of course.  Are you going to bid on my Rev G's?

Project for this week is to replace failing NJ Intl switch motors with DZ1000's.  The contacts are going bad.
