ENGINE NOT ON TRACK – New PS3 MU unit
LIRR MU just back from MTH because it wouldn’t pull 6 cars around curves.
That issue was fixed under Warr.
Now this -
Ran 2 sessions so far.
Ran for under an hour today. Went to eat and came back. Turned everything back on, all trains are operating on both tracks except the LIRR MU.
All other PS 2 & 3 units work fine.
Can’t reset the MU, TIU not reading engine I guess?
Car just lights up.
Do I have to send it back again?
Any ideas?

Will it run in conventional?
Nope, just lights up using my spare ZW on the layout and garage test track.
Guess MTH really beefed up the motors, ha!
My custom painted LIRR MU Lionel will have to do for now. Good old Lionel conventional units.
Try a conventional reset. Not feature or factory reset. To so this, =as explained in other threads, no tiu in circuit. Just transformer feeding track directly. Press whistle button once and then bell 5 times, at 1/2 second intervals. If loco doesn;t respond with 2 toots, try again....and again....and again....and again.
I have the PRR model. Lousy puller, even after warranty repair (extra weight). Mine locked itself into forward. Took off as soon as power applied. Apparently some PS3's will lock into conventional forward, neutral or reverse.
