Is this what I need for a MTH Railking 2-8-0:

Evans LEDs

The 2-8-0 in question is now powered by Battery-Powered RC (BPRC) with a 9.6 vdc NiMH battery pack using a Tx7k transmitter and ALPHA 3v2 Rx w/onboard ESC

The Evans site says these are equipped with dropping resistor so it seems all I need to do is disconnect the 2 bulbs I used and connect the LEDs in their places.

Pardon me for jumping in here, but I just bought 4 of these and installed them the other night along my Super-Streets.. These are the small ones that flash yellow. I mounted them on highway construction signs and they are all controlled from one on-off switch and powered by a 9v DC wall-wart.  I think the grandkids will love them.

We have used a lot of Dave's products for various applications. They are easy to work with and do the job be it structure, vehicle, or train applications. Dave is great to work with.

Sure beats having to figure resistor values, etc and do all the soldering. You should be able to make the change in thirty minutes or less assuming that you have easy access.

Fast delivery also and reasonable shipping cost. If you are into structures, take a look at his DVD; works well.

Thanks folks, got 10 of the 3mm ordered.

Got a question, not so much about LEDs but the regular headlight lamps MTH uses.

The 2-8-0 these LEDs will go in currently has the bulbs and they sit at odd angles inside the light housings (just flopping around inside once thru the hole in the back).  Does anyone use something to keep them centered in the housing?

Bill, I think I have some of that around here, need to track it down
