My favorite electric is my original 402. I just love the way it looks with the 418, 419 and 490 passenger cars. It is so classical 1920s.

My favorite steamer would be the original 392 with the twelve wheel tender I just purchased. Right now it is with some nickel 500 series freight cars, but I would like to find a set of original nickel Stephen Girard cars that I could afford....

Interesting to see the different favorites .... suppose that is why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors

There are many favorites... but one that rises to my top is the Lionel 1912 thin rim pulling a string of knobby 18, 19, &190 cars .    With the thin rims the engine has a lightness and grace .... the 3 rivet trucks  and knobs ..added charm . Straight out of beautiful  New Haven, CT circa 1910/ 1911.    Cheers Carey

My favorite is the 385e with the original Lionel tender as opposed to the Ives design.  But I only have this custom restored #8:

I think the 402/408 style pantograph looks better than the original!

Looks great and I agree on the pantograph (that is what I used), I will also be ordering the large bulb type red and clear LED's for the head lights.

I really like your loco!

A pair of tens banging the diamonds.  Beats an ace in the hole breaking your heart any dang day.

Lead unit is my dad's gray, so it's darn close to being my favorite.  She usually pulls her gray and maroon 300 passenger cars, but like most of my crew, she'll lend a hand if need be.

I still have a bunch of videos on my phone from last winter.  My layout is a tad boring after a watch or two, but the sound of the trains on the rails on the plastic floor does sound cool.  Bangin the diamonds baby.  Original standard gauge all the way.  That's the way I play.  As always, Cheers,       BK
