The Twin Whistle Fire Station is coming along. I am letting the paint cure before applying mortar. The roofs are on crooked but not attached as yet.

Fred, I remember that you did an article many years ago about this type of construction and I thought it was building this structure. If my memory is correct, do you recall the issue it was in. I remember being fascinated (and still am) by what could be achieved with paper and a LOT of talent. Good to see this wonderful structure again.

Fred, thanks for the information. I am a little blown away that it has been almost 25 years since the article was published. Guess I have been admiring your work and the profess of your layout as well as your tributes to the Delta Line RR more years that I thought. I am trying to locate that back issue.

first is a plasticville fire house that was modified to be used in a paid fire department. Living quarters added. The MTH operating fire house is now a fire museum named after my late father who was our departments fire historian. third is a custom lionel fire car I figured fit in this post

Finally got the Twin Whistle Fire Station done. I need to add decals and it is ready to go. The kit was very straightforward to build. The walls did not have any warp. The only issue I had was gluing up the large roof. That took a bit of thinking.

My compliments, that is one nice station. What are you going to house in it. I emailed Twin Whistle, they can build me a 4 bay kit. What is the depth? Just wondering if two ALF series pumpers would fit tandem. Have two, along with a aerial and quad
