Took a while.   Went to China 2 years ago to adopt a son.   Been back a while and building has been slow slow slow.    Both son's the last month have found a renewed interest in building trains downstairs.   Past couple of months, every weekend it is all they want to do.   Had a big jump in progress of late.   Even ran out track and had to buy more.   1/2 the mainline is now and running!   Here's a quick trip around a very messy, very under construction layout.

Thanks!   And yes.   There are 2 separate yards.   1 is 8 tracks and ~20 feet in length the other is 7 tracks and ~10 feet in length.   Both yards have 2 leads another staging track long enough to hold a full length train plus a run around.

The idea is..   Dad (that's me) likes to fiddle around in the yard and build trains.   The kids like to run trains around.   So, in the end I'll have a 2 track mainline for the 2 boys to run trains on and Dad will make up trains and let the boys swap them up to the mainline.   Thus keeping everybody interested and happy :-)
