Mike & Daz,

It looks like it's worked out now. I changed some polygons to help the 3D look for tracks on terrain.

The top station in the back could be a front or just a long platform. You'll need your stations to center the main loop front and back to fit the station that you'll use.

I still think you'll be disappointed with 5" clearance on the underpass. You may get deal for nice scale engine and find that it won't make it.

Good Luck with the move today!

Carl, if he raises the grade to 6", the slope increases to 4.4%. I don't have any experience with O scale engines and grades, so I don't know which is worse, the slope or the clearance. However, one thing I haven't mentioned yet is the idea to raise the entire layout 1"-1.5" and then lower the backside of the bottom oval by that amount (1" gives a short 1.4% grade). That would increase the clearance beneath the crossing to 6" and be more acceptable.

I haven't reviewed anything much more than seeing 5". And thinking, "Wow, that's low", too.

Think hard about adding up to a half inch, maybe more.

I'm at about 7", but run pantographs (normally locked at half  to 3/4 extended).

Any "dream engines"? Better consider them, and rolling stock now, then you will be ready for "someday".( Just ask, someone likely has your dream loco & a ruler )

I know off the top of my head, a post war rocket launcher car, Evans Auto Loader with a load on it, and maybe electrics, even pant.s down, aren't  going to fit (On full O I'm not sure they will fit empty). There are others too. (dome cars?)

With steam, I do like a low clearance on a portal, for looks alone, just beware that's real low.
