In conversation recently I discovered that one of the men in my church loves to SUPER DETAIL models of any sort - especially airplanes. And his favorite is working on 1:48 scale. So, disavowing my previous statement I AM going to find a way to hang aircraft over my layout. I have a new room with a more delicate ceiling and thought I wouldn't be doing it. But - meeting him I have changed my mind.

Two projects we will work on right away are to #1 - build and model 1:144, 1:72, and 1:48 fighter jets (F-101) in exactly the same configuration and markings. I will hang these with smallest highest to largest lowest for a cool looking perspective. Then, #2 - we'll build a 1:48 commercial airliner with my own last name as the Airline. I will try to find a simple but attractive logo, like the old Pan Am, for example to use. I am open to any recommendations that you might have.

Another QUESTION FOR YOU: He gave me the name of The Rail-yard Hobby Shop in Roanoke, VA as a good resource. Try as I may I have not found a link where I can peruse the products and order. If any of you could be of assistance It would be much appreciated....

One thing I really like about our train hobby is all of the other place it can take you - buildings, cars, trucks, animations, aircraft, water scenes, and etc... Love it!

great folks at the Railyard! But, if you need a website to do business, then forget calling and forget I supplied you the  info! Seems like that some folks think that no website means the place ain't worth their time!

No, I appreciate it. I'll give them a call....
