It'll help quell that old tryptophan hang-over.

Turkey leg in hand Keith?
Curt
(And my iPod touch if you are wondering how I am on replying to this right now )
Already did, ran a marx SP A-A tin armature for an hour before the CA repair gave out. New armature is on the way, but I figure I have enough time for another experiment or two on the old. I'm recovering from the disappointment with...bird & chunky cranberry sauce with orange slices in it...yum!
Ooops! Kept eating forgot to submit.
Bob,
You're full of the ol' turkey (maybe a bit too much stuffing ). LMAO!
I haven't had any of the bird in over forty-five years. My preference is leg of lamb at Thanksgiving. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
God Bless,
"Pappy"

Brian, from what I have seen on TV, it seems like you got hit pretty hard. Good luck with your removal efforts. TAKE IT EASY. Slow, like a tortoise, wins the race at our age. Bob
14" of new snow, plus the 2" of additional snow we got overnight. The driveway is 250 ft. long, and I got all of that done yesterday as well as a large rear deck. Had to call it quits as we had company coming for dinner late yesterday afternoon. Good thing we planned our dinner later than normal, or I would not have finished the snow removal.
So I will get in front of the barn done today.

More like a really big snow blower. But the snow was wet and heavy and working with the snow blower this time was like handling a Grizzly Bear. It wanted to act like a plow and that is not what it is designed for. Man was I beat.
Bob, I do and every day.
And when I get on the forum here and read the usual plethora of grumbling and complaining about everything that isn't made yet, and how this isn't accurate or prototypical, or how the various train companies don't know anything (like everyone here really knows more about the entire manufacturing, financial and marketing process than do the train companies themselves) I'm even more inspired to go run some trains.
Yeah, they're not scale, conventionally operated, they run on 027 track and yeah, it's the same ol' tooling - and yet ironically - I'm actually happy with what I have, am thankful and really enjoy it.
Nothing against the scale stuff. I'm glad it's available. But with the considerable amount of unhappiness vocalized, strikes me that some folks desperately need to either start their very own train company (with production here in the US) or switch to HO (where the products with scale fidelity ARE available) or get a new hobby.
OR just be thankful for what they do have. The Thanksgiving Day holiday is about far more than turkey and football.
Well I may not have a hangover or a turkey leg in hand but I sure do have my DCS and Legacy Controllers in my hand!
I was down in my train room for the last 90 minutes, I put out the new 2104 Lionel Christmas car, rotated on and off a few trains, and enjoyed myself in general.
Nice having the day off.

You need a new hobby--start a tractor collection/snow blade collection!
