I can see the catenary just fine, All good Juice Jacks can see it.
Nice layout. I wish that I could do such tidy work. Looking forward to the scenery. Keep it up.
Just to throw this in: I love the Lionel NYC S-1 and S-2 electrics; have both. There was
a NYC S-3 electric, also, as I am sure that you know. It was actually built as a 2-D-2,
not a modified 1-D-1, and has a somewhat longer frame. Same (exact?) body as the S-2.
So, Lionel, how about a little tool-and-die work on a new frame for the S-3? You
could use the same powered axles and trucks (moved out a bit).
I'll BTO one.

RR-assigned locomotive classes are usually unique - that's their mission in life.
Isn't it odd that the NYC used, at the same time, the "S-1" and "S-2" for both electric motors and the 4-8-4 Niagara? (The S-2 had poppet valves.)
Thanks for all the kind words......sometimes I feel frustrated, because I've been wiring for a year and a half and consequently there is no/little progress up top......

Here is an electric operation. Tried to recreate PRR calendar picture of 1955. Catenary is fully functional.

Absolutely love this picture......looks like the trains in South Philly emptying for the Army/Navy game! Oops! That's the calendar picture! Great job!

Peter
thanks for sharing, interesting to have a theme session by power type, I usually run themes by road name.
Keep em coming Peter.
Thanks for the video, Peter. The salvage operation on the NH EP-5(?) in the lower left is a nice scene.
Peter,
Nice job. Thanks for keeping the Pennsy steamer within view!

. . . decided to go electric.
Makes sense to me, they are all, after all, electric toy trains.
Thanks, it was fun.
Peter, this thread is really "electric". I enjoyed your video very much.
