Well, it certainly was an interesting day. I was there with two friends and while I was looking at something else my friends stopped in front of a table where a guy was selling subscriptions to the Star-Ledger newspaper. This guys table is to the far left just two or three rows in after you walk through the main doors. Immediately, the guy said, "You guys have to leave. You're blocking my table." So one of my friends started to walk away but my other friend had just put his bags down so he could get a drink of water. Then the guy says, "Move out of the way!" My friend just wanted to take a drink of water and then move on. Mind you NO ONE was trying to get to this guys table. So my friend says, "You need to settle down!" Then guy gets out of his chair so fast that the chair quickly slides far away. Next thing you know both guys are yelling and all the people in the area move backwards. He actually at one point threatened my friend. This guy was wound really tight. Why he thought he was going to make a lot of money selling newspaper subscriptions at a train show I will never know.
About 15 minutes before this happened I walked by this guys table and (surprise, surprise no one was at the table) I couldn't help overhear him talking and he was saying, "Do you know how much it costs me to give these things [umbrellas] away?"
I doubt anything will come of it but we did report him to the people running the show.
This was definitely a first for me. I guess even at train shows there can be an argument.
