I received a new MTH Premier N6-b caboose that did not have the user manual with it. I couldn't print the manual at the new MTH wesite. This is the caboose: http://mthtrains.com/20-91438
The problem is the chimney is installed with the hood openings facing forward/aft rather side to side. The chimney seems to be tightly installed and may be glued? My question is if anyone knows if the chimney is removable or is it glued? I don't want to force it and posibly damage it.

Have you removed the shell to have a look? Maybe a little carful work with an Exacto knife could work it lose. You will need to be careful with those braces on either side of the stack.
I wonder if MTH would replace the caboose shell for you?

It may also have been done in error at the factory in China on that paticular run & may not be able to just twist into the correct position.

I have no luck with taking (newer) cabeese apart, LOL. I either mess them up worse than to begin with or can't get them back together at all.

I was thinking that may be my only option, slowly rocking the chimney and hopefully loosening it up enough to pull out.

I think the end that sticks thru the roof is "keyed" to go on only one way, it is a tight fit. The one I recently got from Martin Brechbiel was labeled as a N6b but is really a NDa, but the body is the same:

I had to tap it out using a hammer and a small, square piece of metal bar stock.
