got my shipment of the truck promotion.  i have sent an email to cust serv, but thought i would alert you, too.  the flat with crates arrived damaged.  the load had broken loose from the car and the chains were broken.  this needs to be packaged with something inside the blister to prevent the load from moving when the package gets jostled during shipment.  i can replace the load on the car, but i cannot fix the chains.

 

the load itself is surprisingly heavy, which contributed to the problem.

Mark the Menards train guy is extremely responsive to email (his address is in his profile) in my several experiences with him; and, suggest that such problems be communicated directly to him rather than hope he's checking the forum daily or a thread is missed for one reason or another.

 

I'm not saying that threads such as this aren't useful, especially for those who may have ordered the same item and should be alerted to a possible problem, or if there are additional examples of the same problem.  I'm simply saying if a member wants to bring something to Mark's attention, using email may be a better way to do so.
