Hey all,

I was experiencing a problem with my Q2 and need some assistance. The engine runs/smokes fine, but something weird happens with the sound: randomly through running, the sound will become either very low or start to break up.. sometimes even goes silent. I looked at the internals of the tender and from what I saw, everything looks to be fine. No fried board and we have continuity from the board wires to the wire that connects to the engine. Could there be a spliced wire that I can't see? If so, what can I do? In addition, when I turned the smoke unit on, it drew over 2 amps, but when I turned it off, it drew 1-1.3 amps. Would this have any correlation to my problem?

Thanks so much,

Greg

I would also check the volume pot, we have had several issues where this problem has manifested from this volume control. We have had some with bad audio amps also. Best thing is to check the speaker first as Chris has mentioned. Also you need to check for a pinched wire from the board to the speaker.
