Hi,

Sometimes I'd like to be able to link directly to a specific reply in another topic.  For example, let's say I'm in a topic about modeling dining car interiors and I want to point readers to a great photo someone posted midway in another post.

How can I find the URL for a specific reply in a post?  In my browser path, I can see the hash tag for the last reply, and obviously for the entire topic, but I don't know how to get the path for a specific reply that could be anywhere else in a topic.

Sorry if this has been asked before (or is painfully obvious); I didn't see any posts in my quick morning read.

Thanks in advance,

Tomlinson Run Railroad

Within the post you want to link to, do this::

  1. Click on "Take Action" in the bottom right of the post.
  2. Then click on "Permalink"
This will generate the URL for the link which will appear in the address bar of your browser.
  3. Copy the entire link to the clipboard.
  4. In the post where you want to place this link, type the text that you want to use as the link.
  5. Highlight that text and select the LINK tool (the little chain link in the toolbar.)
  6. Paste the URL into the Link window.
  7. Click OK.
  8. DONE!
