Yes I do, but I don't get to the club as much as I like. My basement is a much shorter trip then Patterson, NJ.

Sometimes people belong to clubs to support the good works others do and maybe help out when needed from time to time.

It's cool to be part of something bigger then ourselves.

Yep.

I like running in my basement anytime I want (mostly alone now that the kids are grown up), but I also enjoy the modular club for the commaradarie and friendships, seeing other people's trains and not having to own them all, hopefully sparking interest in toy trains in the minds of kids of all ages, or just putting a smile on a face.

Nah, I gave up clubs once I had my own layout. Though I must say, they were a lot of fun and a good learning experience. I owe a lot of what I know about many aspects of the hobby, to my time spent in clubs.

I did recently rejoin them temporarily when they needed to move from their home of 30 years.

I took these two the last day of operations in the old space.

The layout was cut into pieces so they could fit through the door.

These next two were taken the new space.

Trains were running within six weeks of the move.

I think Elliot's home layout is bigger than some club layouts.
