Was trying to locate a past release of a engine from the 2013 volume 2 catalog. When the product indicator for MTH does not show anything how can you find out which dealers may still have it in stock. The engine I am looking for is a Premier South Buffalo Railway S2 switcher # 84. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

You are aware that MTH made three different cab numbers using the same product number. They seem to do that a lot. If push comes to shove there is a painter in Buffalo, NY who has done dozens of these. He specializes in Western New York roads and his prices are very reasonable. PM me if you need to use that option.

Contact dealers that sell at full retail. That is the reason they may have the older stuff. I have discovered quite a few dealers that have 4-5 year old stuff sitting on their shelves just collecting dust. My guess is that they are not motivated enough to sell amongst the other dealers that discount. Some full retail dealers are forum sponsors. I also find that If you are looking for a Eastern road name, check dealers out West and vice versa.

What Jim said above is probably the best way to find one. Google search is probably next best.

Dealers selling at full retail (or sometimes more) as mentioned above is a good idea as well, that makes sense.

Also, not sure, but I don't think all of the MTH dealers use the MTH inventory system?

You are looking for 20-20328-1.  Do what Jimmy stated and call Rich.  I would do that after noon.  Not first thing in the morning.

I would also give Niagara Hobby a call.  When I am looking for a regional road, I always go to the opposite coast where the engine may not be popular.  My money would be to call Steve at Eastside Trains in Kirkland Washington.
