I have a Pocono Mountain Lines 5 Amp Timed Station Stop Unit that I purchased back in 1998, sealed in plastic, never opened or used. I would like to use it now. Printed on the unit is the following - PML; TSS5; 98; 0031. I purchased it for my o guage, 3 rail train layout and never used it. I am looking for a wiring diagram for it, how to conect it to my track, and how it is used. It's premise is to run (2) trains on (1) track at the same time, with a timed station stop to delay them from crashing into one another.

I found out through another blog that the company is no longer in buisness due to the death of the owner back in 2002. His widow has no documentation from the units he made.

I thought I would start with an inquiry and see if anybody is familiar with the unit. It measures about 2" X 3". It has screw down connectors. Two grouped together, and then a series of seven, with the first two open, the next four bridged in pairs with two wires, and then the last one open.

I can take some pictures of the unit from all sides and post them if anyone thinks they can offer some guidance. If this is not a electrical forum question, point me to another forum you think might hit the right person.

If I could get this to work, it would make my holiday and new year. Thanks, Fred

Interesting project Fred.  Basics.  There has to be Accessory Power input to the piece or pieces, a timing device that may be adjustable, may be even a rail input that sense the presence of the train. And Track power.  The control board is most likely designed to operate via a Forward/Neutral/Reverse/Neutral conventional control system.  I had done a Dalee Trolley control that would have been similar to what you are talking about.  Detailed instructions would have been helpful.

Here is a link to a recent thread, my participation was to add information on the Dalee control system mention above.

Here is a link to the Dallee timed station stop instructions which appears to use some of the same components I used.

Best I can do with the information available.

Digging thru some forgotten train stuff and found an old 5 amp Block Detector(BDT5) made by the same company(Pocono Mountain Lines). It is still in the original package and there is a 4 page(frt & back of 2 sheets) instruction leaflet with it. it's stated use is to operate signals and multiple train control for 2 & 3 rail, AC or DC Track Systems.  Anyone have any experience with using one?  Anyone have any units there want to sell?
