I Was Wondering How Those Miller Signs Work...

My sign works great, and doesn't make any noise either.

A lot of folks can't hear the high frequency whine...but it's there and louder on some of them.

Do they have a catalog of all offerings? I look at them at York, nothing rings my chimes, and the current owner of Coors won't let'em do that.

Google miller engineering, they have a full website of all gauge signs offered.

Scenic Express, they are a sponsor also has many older stock Miller signs that are getting hard to find. Don

I'm sure someone at Miller could tell ya how they work.......but.......then they'd have to kill ya....

They have a version that allows you to print out the sign you want and attach it to a cutable sheet.

I have several of the Christmas ornaments that make so much  noise that I don't even think about using them anymore.

They make noise??????????? (I'm 100% serious!!!)

Tinnitus. My own personal TV test pattern in my head. 24/7/365. FWIW I do miss hearing birds singing.

  I have a high frequency hearing sensativity that made Alpine radios junk in my eyes (a constant whine/squeel.) Anything under 22khz can cut like a razor. My doctor said I have the highest range he's seen. 

On the other end, "what" is usually my reply to a deep voice

LOL I walked past the Miller booth at York and was thinking a dog would go crazy here.  I could hear all the high frequency generated by the sign electronics.

I guess the real question would be, "if its sound is an issue, does the power supply make the noise or the sign, or both?".

The power supply could be enclosed more to deaden the sound, but not the sign.

  Still a very impressive product with a great "wow factor". Plenty of O gauge ghosts thinking they were born too soon I'd bet. 

Hey, come to think of it, even billboards change with the times. So how about a phone for a functioning digital billboard?

The sound is not a problem. It's there, but not annoying.

A problem no, a bit annoying yes, but that's my opinion.  1 or 2 maybe not a problem but I suspect if I had more on the layout I'd have to insulate the sound.  Try listening to 1K tone for an hour while you are checking in with a broadcast center...no fun.  I can hear the high whine of the miller signs after a while it too will bother me.  I'm sure once the trains are going it's less noticeable.
