iCab BUTTONS WILL NOT FUNCTION

Haven't experienced this.  I do have trouble very now and then when I try to quill the horn I end up sliding to the next page.  The HALT button needs to be held for 3 seconds before it engages.  As I said though, I have not experienced that issue.

Thanks Marty.  What I find most bizarre is the way that those 4 keys will not even make the "beep" noise that every other key makes when it is pressed.  Maybe my phone has gremlins.......

Just tried mine and they do "beep".  Do other apps that have i/f buttons down that side work?

No problems with other apps.  I also tried yet another reinstall.  I am wondering at this point if the app does not "like" the larger iPhone 6L....

I have a 6S.  Not sure.  Hopefully Rudy or JonZ will chime in.

I have the same problem with an iphone 7plus.   I posted this when the app was released in the thread below:

There is a workaround that enables the buttons when using a larger iphone like iphone 7plus. 

Select an engine and start the startup sequence. At that point the whistle/ bell, direction buttons do not work. Hold the ENG to see the history and then select the engine.  This will enable the whistle, bell, directional, stop buttons  working. If I select an additional engines, I have to do the same thing (hold ENG for history and select the engine).  If you move to SW to activate a switch, or accessory, you will need to repeat the workaround to reenable the buttons.  

I did not have this issue when using the ipad or iPhone 6s.   I reported this right after the APP was released   I believe Lionel acknowledged this issue.

Thanks Chris.  I am grateful for the tip/fix.  Hopefully, Lionel is working on an update to address this and any other glitches.  At $50 this should not be acceptable.........

Thanks for the info Chris.  I suspect an update will come sooner than later to address this issue.

Hey guys got some info from JonZ.  They have a handle on the issue and hope to push an update in a couple weeks if all goes as planned to fix the button issue.

Thanks Marty.  That's great news.  It can only be a good thing for Lionel to have iCab fully functional on all of the devices that it has been designed for.

Thanks for the update.

iCab version 2.0.2 is now live in the App store. This version fixes a problem where the whistle, bell and direction buttons could not be clicked on iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus phones. Also improves operation of these buttons on non-Plus iPhone 6&7.

The whistle button is much better.  No more scrolling the screen up and down when quilling the whistle!  iPad seems to work better as well!

I saw the update today and downloaded it.  I came home and tested the scenarios on my phone 7plus.  The buttons on the right (whistle/horn, bell, direction) all work.   I no longer have to do the work around to get them working.   I even started the engine, then used an accessory and switch, and can still use those buttons. Thanks for making a fix for this issue.
