Now that OGR has an iPhone App, I wonder what would happen if OGR who already has a relationship with Apple because of the OGR App, in combination with MTH and/or Lionel who has a relationship with Apple due to LCS, approaches Apple about an Apple themed O Gauge train?

However, not only does the train have an Apple theme, but maybe some Apple technology built into it?

Unveil it at one of those huge Apple GeekFests they have, and who knows what positive effect it might have?

Might be a good bridge to the younger generation...not only that, but with "Dick Tracy" wrist watch phones about to be released by Apple, take advantage of a moment of vintage anachronism via the Dick Tracy time period setting?

The 3 "players" you mentioned are way too small of a niche' for Apple to even want to get involved with.  I also doubt that the 3 would even have the discretionary funds to involve themselves in such a venture.

I think the route MTH with Dave Hikel and Lionel with LCS/iCab isthe closest we'll get.  Which is fine by me.  These are great times ahead of us.

The OGR app I imagine is just the provider app for the on-line magazine re-branded per customer bases so there is real no involvement.

I have some Lionel trailer on flat cars with Apple logos on them.  One of the 1st things Steve Jobs did when he got back was to kill all thinks like this so that the Apple logo would only be found on Apple products.  And since then Apple has maintained that thinking.  As much as I'd love to see more train items with Apple logos (Like an Apple Store on my layout.) it's never going to happen unless I make it myself.
