For some reason, I've accumulated a number of #2380 unlighted plastic bumpers. They are kind of dull, but I discovered I could bring them to life with LEDs. I used Evans Designs U5TF Slow LED Red Warning flashers, 5 mm size. I hooked them to accessory power, since they are 7-19 volts universal ac/dc. Now there is more action in the yard.

These are excellent! I can't stand how they only light up with track power, and yes, they are so dull! You sir, now have an idea that will be copied. Thanks!
Nice work, B&O Bill. I have a number of these and agree that they are not very exciting to look at. The flashing LED definitely improves the look of them. Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.

Great job. I personally have never gotten those #$*(@!# lighted bumpers to work so have always gotten the unlighted ones. Love the LED approach....I'll add that to the "to-do" list that always gets longer but never shorter!!
