Indy is a pretty decent SCALE O show.    It is mostly 2 rail, though not PROTO-48 per se.     It is probably about the same size in terms of dealers/tables as the November O Scale show in Cleveland and smaller than the O Scale March Meet in the Chicago area.

If you are in 2 rail these shows are worth attending.

I visit with all of you on these forums but enjoy comparing notes. I went to Washington, Indy, and St. Louis in the 2000s and have the time to go this fall. After going on to Louisville to spend a few days with some close friends that were unable to come for my wife's funeral in June.

We'll be there. Stop by and grab our famous refrigerator magnets!

Also I will have some items from the late Harmon Monk. Working on a list now and will post as finished.

Don't say that about a collection or within seconds you'll get an email asking if there are any pacific limited cars...

Do you have any in that collection?

Gee, would've liked to have gone.  Never been there before.  Looked forward to it.

However, of necessity we must make the trip from Michigan down to Indy in our RV.  We had some questions regarding parking, area camp grounds, etc., knowing full well that the Indy event/location is not at all set up for RV's in the same manner as York meets.

So we forwarded our questions to the 'contact' email site for the Indy show....a couple months ago.

Never got a reply.

Too bad.

Since made other plans.

Y'all have a nice/prosperous time.

O Scale Trains will be there.  Stop by our tables with your list of back issues that you are looking for at our show pricing - issues prior to #76 will be $5.  I'm also picking up a small collection of earlier issues that are still available that are scattered between #18-51.  I'll also have a several tubs of cars and kits , and "stuff" from my personal collection along for sale.

BTW, the dates posted above are not quite correct - it's really Sept 22-24 - Thurs is mainly set up and hall is open then Friday and Sat until 2 pm

Last year's show was worth the admission just for the wide assortment of American 0 Scale stock on about 17 or more tables.  Plus his pricing was right on.  Stuff was jumping off his tables.  Picked up 80 new pairs of trucks with NWSL wheels to finish up my freight and 15 brass passenger pairs.  No more plastic wheels, everything runs smoother.  Looking forward to my next visit.

Not just a regional swap meet but a cross section of national dealers.  You can see the hotel from the airport.  It's a quick fly in.

Very friendly show, good food, clean room.

Yes, folks that actually want to sell stuff and understand that objective tend to have realistic pricing.

There were other table holders that well served the converse where very little sold....and one might project that those items will eventually find their way to reality when the estate sells them off.

There are always those that think prices are where they were pre 2008.  I just laugh and walk away, or give them another snide remark like "really".   They are married to the items and are not really interested in selling.  But with table costs what they are, it would be smarter to price items to sell to cover table, travel and hotel costs.  But alas some do not get this fact of life.   Cant wait to see what is there that I cannot afford!    Mike  P.S.   I am looking for another All Nation F7 non powered, either kit or assembled.

Mike,

Friday afternoon at the Indy show I will  be doing a workshop on a way to build RR bench work.  My plan is to build some small modules as would be used in a small room.  If you would be kind enough to take my built up samples to save my transportation home that would be appreciated.

I'll even throw in some 48" radius (not diameter) pre curved early Atlas  3' track  sections for the favor.  Demo @ 1:00 pm.
