I have been away from the model railroad scene for awhile and am just now getting back into it. I e mailed J D's trains with an order and some question and when I didn't get a response after a few days, I tried to call Jeff. Again no response. Is J D's Trains still in business? Thanks.

They are. Jeff is a very busy guy who often travels. Although it may be difficult to get in touch with him, his fairness in pricing and shipping costs are second-to-none.
i have done business with him for several years and never had a problem with product. Plus, he's a very, very nice individual.

JD's Trains is still in business and is currently going through the process of being consolidated with AM Hobbies, which was formerly owned and operated by Bob Thatcher. Jeff Dobslaw is still very much in charge and fully open for business. I talked to him just last week about an Atlas product. He's a great guy to deal with. Sometimes he's not able to answer his phone calls right away, but if you leave a message with contact information, I'm sure he'll call back as quickly as he can.

As others have stated, I dealt with him less than 2 weeks ago. He shipped me 4 of the new NS Trinity hoppers. Just use the email above as stated and he will get back with you. Worth the wait.
