When I first got into model trains I purchased what I thought was a full set of K-Line Aluminum 15" passenger cars on Ebay. I kept thinking the end of the set looked odd but didn't think anything about it. I later learned about the observation car that I am missing. I have been searching high and low and with the exception of a couple of outrageously priced ones on Ebay, I have never seen any on Ebay or in local shops. If anyone has this car or knows somebody that knows somebody that has one please contact me. I have been searching for 4 years.

One on the Bay now with no bids @ $125.... on the high side, but not so outrageous if you've been searching four years?
Thank you I will give it a try. 125 is much lower than I have seen in the past.
Actually, I found the diner and baggage in this set harder to find.

FYI
Lionel and MTH (two different sets) have the Zephyr. They do mix well but I am not a purist.

Hi
I am a big Zephy fan. I have the K-line, the Lionel and both MTH sets.
You are correct about the diaphragms. If you were a mind, you could work something out. BUT, the Lionel car is also pricey so the bother may not be worth it.
There are sites that sell 'roofs' for 15" cars. Certainly at York. You might think about an Obsv roof on another type of car that might be more easily obtained. I'd get the roof first. then explore a car.

Ralph I have a Millenium Business car although it is 16"long. I think the only thing making it making 161/2" long is the unusual tail section. Do you think this would work. You would think as popular as the CZ is there would be more offerings.
If you mean let it be the last car, a lot has to do withe the curves on the layout. I'd give it a go and see what you think. I bought one on a flyer, I just have it displayed it doesn't look good going around my layout

The business car looks odd going around even 054 curves.
