Does anyone know what Railsounds version the sounds in the K-Line Hudson were ? I know they were generic, trying to see if an ERR Sound Commander would be much of a change. I tried looking at the Kline archive site, but it's blocked from work

Chris, the ERR large steam would probably suit you best, but you can audition all the sound sets from the ERR website. The K-Line version would have been a "generic" sound set using the old RS4 boards. The new ERR sounds are equal in fidelity to the current Legacy sound system. Not the same feature set, of course--the ERR boards are TMCC only, they don't respond to LEGACY commands. But the fidelity is the same and sounds are also drawn from the Lionel Railsounds library.

Sadly I can't get to the soundcloud pages from work, stupid government internet blocks.
I was also thinking about upgrading my Allegheny from 2000 with new sounds, but after listening to it last night I don't want to risk losing that high pitched whistle. Its so different than all the UP steam I usually run
