I recently got a K-Line MP-15 diesel Locomotive (New York Central, Cab No. 2212). In trying it out, it does go in forward and reverse, but the horn does not sound. Also, it looks like I need to replace the front and rear couplers. Any hints as to how to fix the horn, and where I can get some couplers that would go with it? Also, is there a bell that should sound as well?

I have a few of these. The earlier ones don't have a horn. I have some K-line by Lionel MP15s that do have a horn.
When I press the Horn button, I hear some vibrating, but nothing else. If there is no horn on it, is there a way to put one on?

K-Line had an in-house device for working the horn. I have a 1500and it came with such a device.
I think the 2212 is an early MP-15 w/o horn.
The Williams True-Blast unit would work to give you horn & bell.
