Have three but my favorite just started crawling real slow.
Took it apart. A little O Gauge puzzle box to keep the aging mind agile.
Smoke worked great. Lights work. E unit reverses like it is supposed to.
Motor is not bound up. Turns freely.
I have heard of this happening before.
Is it the PCB board or the motor?
Is there a simple known fix. ( not a bridge rectifier. lol)

Should I by a new motor and board from Brasseur Trains if available and just swap out?
Anyone ever deal with this before.
Is it as simple as a faulty voltage regulator.
I figure I could test the motor with an HO Dc transformer.
A real pain that there is not connector on the motor to board.
Real tricky to take apart.
Three hands, an Optivisor and a couple of glasses of good port to steady the old hands.
Plus a lot of luck.
Might be able to tuck a TMCC Mini- Mite in there if I dump the Engineer and Fireman.
But the lack of coasting is a little irritating.
Thanks in advance.
