Has anyone been successful converting the K-Line classic tank car to a lower, two-rail type of truck?  I have been putting Kadee 805 couplers on my cars but haven't changed the trucks.  I can get the coupler down to the correct height with a 3/8" basswood shim, but the car still sits high on the original K-Line truck.  The attached photo shows an Intermountain Railway tanker on the left compared to a K-Line tanker with original truck (and the coupler removed) on the right.  Is there a truck out there that I can adapt to the K-Line frame without having to do major surgery on either one?  Or is there another method that someone has used that I haven't thought of?

BTW, I plan to use o-gauge hi-rail wheels in whatever o-scale truck I use, as shown in the photo.

Comments/advice appreciated.
