Kids Run Trains kicked off their 2016-2017 season this past weekend at the Yorktown Public Library in York County, VA. The club uses the Lionel/LCCA modular layout design and has had fantastic success with it over the past 2 years. This year, Kids Run Trains is excited to welcome Lionel onboard as a sponsor and will be demonstrating some of their introductory LionChief and LionChief Plus products on the tracks and Plug and Play accessories on the layout. Visitors are offered the chance to try their hand at operating the trains and enjoy the hobby first hand. Many young boys and girls had a fantastic time operating a model train for the first time last weekend. Hopefully this memory will last for a long time and lead to further exploration of the hobby. Kids Run Trains next stop is the Tidewater Division Annual Train Show and Sale on 8 and 9 Oct.
