Hi Guys, While working on my KW transformer I managed to break a contact spring 20-62. It is held onto the bearing plate by a rivet 20-20. I hope someone has a junked KW or NOS. Jeff Kane does not stock this part.
thank you,
Stew

Do you have a quick pic? I am not at home at the moment, but I do have a donor KW.
Gene
I will look first thing in the morning when I get home. I believe I might just what you are wanting.

Good News, I have that on my donor KW. Nice and intact!
Bad news, Not sure of the best way to remove and get to you. I could send you the whole top assembly like you have in the pic. If that is any option, make me an offer. I dod not rebuild many transformers any more and this is my last donor KW.

Hi Stew,
I don't have a spring but I noted from your picture that you have removed the top plate from your KW. If you haven't already planned to do it and want to replace the rectifier disk with a diode, with the top plate remove it is very easy and greatly improves your whistle circuit. Just remove the disk and the pen and washers and bolt the diode in place, then bend the brass arm up to the diode and connect it to the diode eye with a 6-32 1/4" machine screw and nut. Don't let the brass arm touch the diode housing. Attached is a picture of my KW that I just converted to a diode. If you want to do it I have an extra diode you can have for $7.00 including postage.
Gene, just carefully grind the copper rivet head off with a Dremmel tool and then Stew can attach the spring strip it to his top plate with a copper pop rivet.

Thanks Stew, will keep it in mind.

I will work on it this afternoon when I get home. That will be shortly.
