Window displays are so beautiful and the work is incredible. The artistry to create such magical displays blows my mind. Reminds me personally of those days when I was a child and my parents would take my sister and I to DC and see the Christmas windows at Woodward & Lothrop. Almost always they had a Lionel working train and needless to say......I wanted it!

By posting about the article here, you are serving the author by increasing its visibility.
As far as I am concerned, Jean Shepard was not a racist, nor was the movie. The article was written by one person, and reflects that one person's opinion. I know of no organized effort to ban the movie.
But since you bring it up, maybe the anti-gun lobby will seek to have the movie banned because it glorifies guns.

For the record: I played with toy guns as a child. As an adult, I have no interest in guns, but respect the rights of those that do. And I listened to Jean on WOR in NYC, and have read all his books multiple times. I even have a copy of Excelsior, You Fathead, but haven't read the whole thing yet.

Isn't this board supposed to be free of politics?

Everyone lives in harmony in my world of Lionel.
