LCCA/Lionel Has a Successful Press Conference at Historic Union Station in Kansas City MO.

Earlier today, Lionel and the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) presented Kansas City Union Station with a detailed O Gauge compatible version of the historic station during the LCCA’s 46th Annual Convention. A large crowd was in attendance as the historic Union Station received an architecturally compressed version of the station created by LCCA Member Roger Farkash, owner of TW TrainWorx in Dallas, Texas. This miniature Union Station (40 in. wide x 14 in. deep x 12 1/6 in. tall) will be on display through July 2017 at the station compliments of the LCCA. This scale version of the station was signed by its creator Roger Farkash and carries a special plaque commemorating today’s date and the names of Howard Hitchcock (Lionel President) and Al Kolis (LCCA president). LCCA Immediate Past President Dennis DeVito and LCCA Spokesman Mike Mclintock were on stage representing the club and unveiling this fantastic model of this beautiful and historic station. It was another Great Day for the LCCA!

LCCA President, who was not able to attend this event issued the following statement “ We in the LCCA are thrilled to hold our convention in Kansas City, a city with a great railroad heritage. To make this event even more memorable, we wanted to do something special for the historic Union Station. The LCCA is excited the Union Station has agreed to display this unique exhibit to the public for the next 12 months”.

Lionel’s Vice President, Mike Phillips was on hand introducing Lionel toy trains to the large crowd in attendance and to the local media channels.
Lionel President Howard Hitchcock, (also unable to attend in person) issued the following statements “Lionel model trains are a part of America’s heritage, and we are pleased be a part of the LCCA national convention and to take part in the press conference at this historic Kansas City Union Station,”
