It is a LCCA Club promotion to interact with club members. LCCA is starting to post pictures of the travelling boxcar on members layouts in the club magazine. LCCA has not determined what they will do with the boxcars once the promotion is over. I believe there are around 10 of them so they would be somewhat rare.

The point is to have fun with this.  The LCCA made a limited  quantity of carS ( I think 10 or so)   If a member has an interest, he contacts Tim Furhman of the LCCA, and we will send him the car for approximately two weeks.  The member takes photos of the car on their layout or some place fun and sends in their photoS for possible publication in one of our club publications.  The car gets returned and then sent out to another member.  Our goal is to get the car to all 50 states.
