Here's my contribution to the thread...

This 666 has had a nose job, the big snow plow "cow catcher" has been reworked to look more like a traditional pilot. Ladder-ectomies have been done under the rear of the cab. A few other things have been done as well.

Then there's this, my custom 1666, the plastic brother to the 666...

OK... not exactly a kitbash - and certainly not custom painted - but how about a repowered Marx 666?

Marx never made a windup version of the 666 (although curiously they made a windup version of the 999 that was numbered 666 - go figure), so I decided to correct that oversight.  I installed a Marx riser gear windup motor in a 666 shell, cutting a keyhole in the right side of the shell and adding a brake control in the cab.  I used the original trailing truck, but had to fabricate a lead truck as well as the mount for it on the motor.  I purposely left it in the original, well-worn paint... but I may give it a nice paint job someday.  It's a strong engine with all the weight of that die-cast shell contributing to the traction:

Handyandy, I have tried contacting you previoulsy about your customized Marx 666. The photos you posted are no longer available. Could you please post them again as I like very much what you have done to your 666 and would like to duplicate it as much as possible. Thank you in advance.

Quoting someone is the best way to get thier attention. Most folks use notification settings that will tell them of the quote being used.

To save some time, I've got you covered this round...

Handyandy,  Your posted photos cannot be seen.  Instead of the photo there is a picture of a small cat with its mouth open and the words "Photo not found  Click for photos"   The click isn't working as when you place a cursor over it , it isn't indicating that it is a link.

He likely knows about the P.bucket issue. They went from a free site to asking for over $300 a year to subscibe. If you didn't poney up the cash, they limited your ability to recover your photos... i.e. took everyones photos hostage. (poorly working virus prone site to boot... still works like crap as I decided to try to retrieve more of my own stuff yesterday but was disconnected each time, just before the downloads finished. The ransom is cheaper now, but I will never pay

Thank you to all who have replied and identified why the photos cannot be opened. Hopefully Handyandy you are aware of the matter that has been identified regarding older photos. Since I am fairly new to this forum, I am not familiar with the rules, but I hope there is some way you could get the photos of your 666 to me if you are willing.
