Liberty Lines 600E Chugger?

When Harlan Cresswell made and sold his Liberty Lines 600E Hudson, as an option it could be purchased with a sound system installed. I understand it was a "chugger" system. Does anyone know if Harlan Cresswell purchased from Lionel and installed their Standard Gauge chugger parts or was the chugger he installed of his own design? Anyone know of a current source for Lionel Standard Gauge chugger parts?
