Any solutions to ...when i activate the smoke on,,the lights go out on the locomotive..not always but randomly..and no particular eng...real strange...?????

my bad...mth good numbers on track...very random with all mth locoe ..dcs z 4000
Sounds like you have poor connections for power to the track, but that's just a guess based on very limited information.
Put together a test track with good tight connections and test each engine. Random problems can really drive you nuts. Steve
Thanks but,,,,,,signal strength all 8 to 10 all the way around...layout is 35 by 16..atlas track..i think the technology is a bit behind reality....gremlins and such....no issues tonite with the smoke on killing the lights. nevermind but what about check track on only a few engines and engine not on track and its right in front of you !! good grief
