I have a couple of Lion Chief remotes acting like the batteries are not strong enough ( even though they are new ) One is a Lion Chief Plus GP-7 and the other is from the Frosty set that I just opened today. Both turn on and LEDs on both blink rapidly with no response from engines. Any suggestions?

Mine do that if the remote gets turned on before powering up the track that the Lionchief Plus loco is on.
Do the Lionchief Plus locos just sit on the track beeping?

Yes
Sounds like a signal problem or interference. For 2 different engines and 2 different remotes to behave the same, perhaps it's environmental?
