I have asked about which beacon was the best and most reliable and was told this one is. So I am looking for one of these beacon's in good condition. Please contact me with all information and pictures. I live in Illinois zip 62035 for shipping purposes.

Happy Easter! I'm one of those who responded to your original question. To restore a 494 is not hard. What is hard is to find one that works, the cost can scare most.

While the 494 is a true jewel when viewed in a dimmed room. You might find that the new MTH unit will operate with the reliability that you seek.

I have 3 of them. They are a good choice.

not that expensive, if you look around.

$15-$20 each is what I paid. worn circle finger

pads are available from Jeff Kane @

ttender.com. he also sells the double sided taped

circle to attach the fingers inside the light assymbly.
