Lionel #6-29788 PRR N5C caboose from Pennsylvania Flyer set.

This O scale caboose is a nicely detailed example of a PRR N5C "porthole" caboose. The model includes plastic trucks and a plastic window insert but no interior lighting. It has prototypical rivet detail on the sides. The side lettering includes a PRR logo, car number 477939 and Eastern Region. No smoke jack is included with this model. The paint is a realistic Tuscan red.  This Lionel model was produced by Lionel LLC in 2014. The car appears to be from Lionel set #6-30233.

Note: The Lionel plastic trucks as shown for this model are not typical for this PRR caboose. The Lionel model could be improved by replacing the plastic trucks with diecast metal Bettendorf style trucks.

From what I found in Greenberg's guide, that caboose was only issued in a set.  The separate number wasn't found there.  Nice looking caboose.  Lee Fritz

True enough, Lee.... but on the lower left corner of the car, below "BLT BY LIONEL" we can see the Lionel production number.  It looks to me like 29788.  I guess Greenburg does not go to the trouble of rostering pieces from sets.         I think that the cabin cars created by K-Line, and later offered by RMT &  "O Line," are more detailed... including the overhead communications system antenna.
