I am looking to complete my existing Chessie Steam Special set with the add on, sold separately, dining car; boxed or no box .For my personal collection. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just a quick chime-in to say that the cars from the 1980 CSS set are different enough from the 2005 & 2014 sets that it would be pretty noticeable if you mixed them in a consist. The colors on the newer sets are muted, while the older set is a bright yellow. Also, the 1980 set has frosted windows and the newer sets are clear. My 1980 set has grey-ish, weathered trucks, and the newer sets are pure black. Also completely different numbers/markings, if that matters.
Unless something has changed, 9586 pops up with some regularity on the ol' auction site.
