Lionel announces corrrection of new Mohawk numbers

On facebook lionel announced:

Catalog Update - Several of you pointed out that the road numbers on our new Mohawks were not right for the class of locomotives. So Central fans will be happy to know we've corrected the error! The new locomotives (for the set and individual sale) are as follows:
6-11411 MOHAWK NYC LEGACY – new road number is 2791 (was 2854)
6-11412 MOHAWK NYC LEGACY – new road number is 2797 (was 2867)


They heard us!!!!

Since I do not do face book. Is there any information on facebook in regards to the Sp GS-6 tender correction(Correct lettering)?

YAY! New NYC stuff, and they heard us... wait a minute, I can' afford these new locos...

Blue, I pointed out the error to a few folks at Lionel during York. They said they use archival records to do the actual lettering. You can be pretty certain it will be correct though they couldn't tell me what era will be done. I suspect given the location in the center of the tender it will done in the post '46 scheme. They have done both early and late lettering correctly in the past.

Pete,

Thanks for bringing it up with Lionel. That makes me feel better about moving to it. I would still like to see Lionel make an annoucement.
