hello. i am putting new gargraves track on my layout and installed a gargraves uncoupler unloader track for my few accessories. now, the track works fine with other cars but with the lionel barrel car it wants to short circuit. i have read the instructions which came with it and it says: operate lionel barrel car on right hand end of the section as viewed below. pretty vague. has anyone had any success with this combo and if so how did you do it? thank you

The Barrel car is wired differently than other Lionel operating cars. You must only use one side of the Gargraves track section, like you mentioned. I had a operating section that had miss information on it. It said don't hitch the senter post with the red wire, wrong, absolutely hitch the center post with the red wire. It should work fine if you do the above.

hello paul. thanks for the reply. i tried what you said to do. nothing happened. the car works if i hot wire it but can't get the unload on the gargraves to work. thanks anyway. bill
