The MTH website shows that the Lionel Corp Tinplate subway sets are cancelled except for the Red PS3 set.

Yes, looks that way...I have the red PS3 set on order. Is shows that they were shipped in December but I doubt that.
They are not going to cancel some colors of something they have not made before. They will cancel all of it or none of it.
Wow, if true, that is major news.
In the last LCT catalog the subway sets were easily the most popular item mentioned here. And that was partially because of the lacklaster content of the balance of the catalog. On the heels of the one in 2013. 
Makes you wonder about the future of the LCT venture. Not looking good.
Hope some of the subway sets are still made.
