I've been watching close for this very same thing. There have been a couple other threads on this the past few weeks and at first I was under the impression release was to be at York, but it was also mentioned it might be like last year which I guess was a couple weeks after York, and last a couple posters mentioned it might be as late as June or July...not very specific I know, sorry!

 

Someone else mentioned summer. 

 

I talked to Andy E and about. Lionel celebration 255e caboose. He agreed it was way over due. 

Like Marty said I had heard not until June or so.

 

A great disappointment for me as I was hoping it would be ready for York (Spring, not Fall!)

 

Can't really complain.  At least they did come out with the small Ives catalog and the Marklin station.  Also,  can't wait for the monorail to arrive!

 

I did more than enough damage in this department last year and earlier this year... and there is still one more Ives Standard Gauge set on my radar to purchase out of last year's crop of product.  

 

But as we're seeing in other parts of the hobby, everywhere we turn there's another $1,000-$2,000 expenditure to be made.    So if MTH holds off 'till this summer on a new LCT or Tinplate Tradition catalog, that's fine by me.  I can easily coast through the remainder of 2015 on the Standard Gauge sideline, then revisit purchases again in 2016.

It's about 6 weeks out. So I would expect it around June 1.

Curious as to which Ives set you're considering?

I pre-ordered the National Limited, and it's everything I thought it would be.   So I'm thinking of the Black Diamond next.

Have they shipped everything from the last catalog yet?

Things that I have on order that have yet to be shipped are the Lionel Celebration Series monorail and the coal tower.

You can check on their website for items yet to be shipped from the 2014 catalog.  (Unfortunately I cannot as I'm currently using my phone to be online).

Just did a check of the MTH site and the brown PRR add on coach and baggage have been canceled. That sucks. The monorail is the only item left I'm waiting for.

Just checked the shipping schedule on mth's website.

 

The only tinplate left to ship are the monorail sets and the coal tower.  2 things that I currently have on order! 

We are still waiting on items from the 2013 catalog.  This item is one of them:

 

me too on that af signal,,,,which I ordered directly from mth ,,,last update was shipping 1st week of june,,,maybe it will arrive, with a new catalog,,,hahahhaha 

Weird thing I've noticed with that signal.   If you browse the 2014 LCT catalog online,  and click on the link for this signal,  it brings you to the wrong item.   I think it's cursed!

it does say "danger" !!!!!!

Will there be a new tinplate catalog--I hope so.  I would really like to see a green and black 400E along with green and black State Cars !

Think of it kinda like a Honeymoon. After all the moans, groans and drama you're left confused and bewildered thinking, "Is this as good as it gets?" The we wait all hot and bothered for the next edition .

How bout a Standard and O tinplate GG1?

 

Probably not in my lifetime.

well its july 1,,,and let beat this dead horse,,,any guesses if we will see a new tinplate cataloge this month ???

 

Said it before but based on the anemic offerings in the last 2-3 LCT catalogs, failure to deliver items (see Phil's post above), and now the '15 catalog being months overdue, don't see a lot to be optimistic about.

 

Too bad because the LCT line was really humming there for a few years. The last thing I bought was the Red Comet Set and thoroughly have enjoyed it.

      How about this earth shaking idea?                                         

We all cancel our preorders. This alone should make you feel better. Now comes the good part. Let's all play with the trains we do have and stop worrying about those we're not likely to ever have. If it sounds easy, that's because it is.

Almost August and no catalog yet.  Has it ever been this delayed?

I left a post on the MTH Facebook page last week. They responded that it's in the works.
