Lionel HO Polar Express

I don't see 6-58018(loco) on the shipping schedule. That could mean it's here and not sent to dealers yet or it's delayed.

Thanks Carl. That's a big help. I'm surprised the set isn't added to the Shipping Schedule yet. I assume since the cars are December, then the set is to. I wish though it came out before Christmas. This would make a great Christmas present for my sister and her HO Layout I'm helping her with.

11/18 is when it is getting to Concord, NC. To your distributor and dealer from there. From Mike Reagans mouth today at York.

I don't recall seeing a SET in the catalogs. It's a separate engine/tender and separate cars. Have you watched the video from the toy fair in NY? This train will be on the level of the O and S scale versions. It's not the RTR type.

I don't know if it's the video your talking about about, but this video below by Train World is how I found out about the engine and cars. The only thing I did not know it's not a RTR set. 

Also I see Lionel's website shows the engine and tender separate from the cars - http://www.lionel.com/search?query=ho%20scale    

That is the video. Bluetooth with phone app or DCC operation out of the box.  They sure will be cutting it close. Are you near any of the larger dealers?

I suspect most dealers will have the engine and cars by 12/1. Not cutting it that close. 

The cars are not bad but the engine is a non buy for me. Too many molded on parts, even the hand rails.

If even the handrails were seperate detail I would have thought about it but not at the price dealers are asking.

I may just buy a Berkshire from the many that have been made and make my own polar express.
